So textured polish, eh? (Can you tell I’m Canadian?) I really, really wasn’t sure how I’d feel about it. This polish was (so generously) sent to me, along with a few other amazing shades from Deborah Lippmann, the Ferrari of lacquers am I right? It’s from her latest Punk Rock collection, along with a grey shade and a navy with blue sparkles. I’m not gonna lie, I was kinda, really hoping to score one of those shades because this color didn’t exactly scream flattering to me. Strangely enough though, I honestly, actually liked it. And no, I’m not just saying that. I liked in that weird way, where, like, you know it’s not right but it somehow just works. You getting me? I think this mustardy-yellow would look so chic in the fall, and just imagine it against an oxblood colour… yes, I know you’re getting me. As far as wear goes, I can’t really comment seeing as I only had this on for a few hours, but in general most of my Deborah Lippmanns wear well, so I wouldn’t worry too much about this one. And, I think I kind of like this textured stuff. It’s different and feels funny but, like I said, it works in a weird way. So this polish might not be my “go to” when I have no idea what to paint my nails (that would probably Mermaid’s Eyes -that’s to come), but it’ll surely get used up when the weather goes (so depressingly) down. But for now, that can definitely, definitely wait.
