Fantastical

I’m a crazy huge fan of Deborah Lippmann, and I have been ever since I got my hands on Mermaid’s Dream a couple of years ago. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: you get what you pay for. And yes, you might pay a little more for some DL polish, but the quality is unlike any other polish. Seriously. Her fantastical collection recently came out and I was lucky enough to receive three of the six alluring shades for review.

Magic Carpet Ride

Here’s MCR (two coats) with no topcoat. It’s a really pretty, jam-packed glitter in a black base. It’s not the ideal texture to apply because the glitter does make it chunky, but it’s do-able. This kind of reminded me of Essie’s Belugaria, except this one is much softer, easier to apply, and prettier, too! I’m just obsessed with the holo glitters and how they pop against the black base.

Here’s the same polish with some top coat added, which I think make it look that much better. The top coat really smooths and evens everything out, plus it makes the glitter sparkle that much more.

Weird Science

Wow! This green colour is not something I’d go for normally, but how stunning is it? It’s so eye catching and I can totally imagine this being perfect for fall with a more neutral outfit. It would pop like crazy! The quality on this polish was outstanding; usually with these type of metallic-like shades, I find they can be on the sheer side, but two coats of this was perfect. Needless to say, I can’t wait to wear this one again.

Xanadu

Here’s two coats of Xanadu with no base. Absolutely amazing, right? I couldn’t get over how ridiculously stunning this polish is and I’m dying to get a backup because it’s limited edition (Why?!). I mean, just look at how gorgeous that colour is. Something in me, though, knew this would look insane over black. So I decided to test it out. Get ready guys, because you might just faint.

If that isn’t the most beautiful polish you’ve ever seen then we can’t be friends. LOOK AT THAT COLOUR. I literally cannot get over it. It’s magical. Doesn’t it look like metallic blue foil? And look at that shifting from blue to purple. This is what dreams are made of!!!

I even took this not-so-macro macro shot on my iPhone so you can see the real beauty of it. Cannot deal. If there’s only one polish you buy all year, it has got to be this one.
