The leaves may have just started changing colours, but at Hello Glossy HQ, it’s already Christmas thanks to the new OPI Gwen Stefani Holiday 2014 Collection. I’ve got your first look here + my thoughts on all 18 (!!!) shades. For reference, each swatch is two coats unless I say otherwise, plus I slapped some extra shiny top coat on this time for full effect. Oh, and without having to write it under every shade, I gotta say that majority of these polishes were awesome to apply and super opaque. If they weren’t, I wrote it!
Christmas Gone Paid
A pretty green cream. Nothing bad to say here about this one. Plus, I think it’s the exact Christmas green shade that I’ve been searching for. The plaid nail possibilities are endless.
Cinnamon Sweet
Basically the most perfect red I’ve ever tried. If there’s one red you need in your life it’s this one. Oh, and did I mention this is one coat? Believe it.
Comets in the Sky
Yaaaassssss. This glitter topper is out of this world. See what I did there? It’s flipping beautiful and aurora borealis-like with its multi-coloured, shifting goodness. I want to slap this on every polish I have just because. Please purchase this.
Fashion a Bow
Well, this came out more orange than expected. Cute name, not feeling so cute about the polish. I mean, it’s totally alright and pretty if you’re into it, but I’m not head over heels or anything. Also a little watery when applying. Next.
First Class Desires
How pretty? This reminds me of OPI’s Live and Let Die except instead of green this one is a plummy purple. And I like it. Just look how nice that gold looks against the purple!
I Carol About You
Yay, an inky purple! LOVE this colour, especially with the added purple shimmer all up in it. So gorgeous and another must-have in my honest opinion.
Rolling in Cashmere
Rolling in Cashmere, I’m just not that into you. Like, those brush strokes, though. If you’re going to go for gold, get Love.Angel.Music.Baby. That shit is bananas. B-A-N-A-N-A-S.
I’ll Tinsel You In
What a cutie pie little glitter topper! I thoroughly thought I would hate this (bar glitter isn’t really my thing), but I really do like this. Those square glitters, though, could take a hike. Why are they even there? This polish would be way cuter without them.
In A Holi-Daze
Look at the bottle –doesn’t it look like a gorgeous, deep raspberry shade? That’s what I though, too, but then I put it on my nails and that happened. I just want a raspberry colour, OPI. I prefer this one bottled up, especially because the formula was a little runny.
Just Be-Clause
OBSESSED. This could almost be a one coat dream, but I did two just for good measure. This is the type of colour I live for.
Kiss Me Or Elf
Pretty! This magenta shade has a nice shimmer in it and all, but I wouldn’t run out to get it, know what I mean?
Love is Hot and Coal
I really like this shade for a nice, dark neutral, plus that silver shimmer is just divine. Shows up in real life closer to photo one, but that shimmer really pops in the second photo.
Red Fingers and Mistletoes
Hello, Christmas in a bottle! There’s nothing more holiday-esque than red and gold if you’re into the holidays (I must admit I kind of love Christmas time), then this is the perfect polish. So sparkly and so pretty.
Sleigh Parking Only
I’m so in love with this plummy purple shade. It looks black in some lighting but then go outside or something and BAM it’s the vampy colour of your dreams. So easy to apply, too.
Snow Globetrotter
Oh my gosh! How perfect is this?! I really can’t get over how darn cute this topper is. It’s easily one of my favourite glitters in this collection because 1/ look how pretty, 2/ it’s iridescent and 3/ it totally looks like teeny snowflakes! Another must-have.
So Elegant
Okay, this glitter also tops my list of favourites. How gorgeous is it? So simple and yes, OPI, also so elegant. For anyone looking for an understated, chic glitter, I think this may just be it. Stunning!
Unfrost My Heart
No silver will honestly ever beat Push and Shove in my books, so this silver is defs not close to my heart. It looks grainy, no? Like, where’s the nice metallic effect? Why did Gwen Stefani have to make two silvers in her two collections? This one is obviously not the better one. Though I must say, I kinda like it when I look at the photo… but not so much in real life.
What’s Your Point-Settia?
Lastly, another red. I mean, this one is okay and all, but it’s just another red. Good application if you’re in the market for a shade like this, otherwise I don’t think you need it if you’ve got others that are similar. Stick to Cinnamon Sweet if you want a red from this collection.

Okay, are you still here? That was long! What do you think of this massive holiday collection? Will you be getting any shades?

LOVE snow globe trotter and red fingers and mistletoe. I don’t think I’ve seen a red polish with gold shimmer. Soo cute!
