It’s heeeeeeere! Part two of OPI’s newly released San Francisco collection, that I am so, so digging. Today’s post has a few of my favourites (hint: the last shade, it’s irresistible) and some pretty nice neutrals that are far from boring. But let’s not waste time and get started with what we really came here for -swatches ♡
A-Piers to be Tan is just that: a tan, brown shade. It’s nice -but I am definitely not wearing this everyday. Probably my least favourite from the collection, through it did apply nicer to the nails than it looked on the bottle, in typical OPI trickery fashion.
To me, It’s All San Andreas’s Fault, seems a lot like You Don’t know Jacques, just liquid sand-ified. If my polish isn’t going to be glossy, then it better be glittery -and this one isn’t. It’s a nice grey shade, don’t get me wrong. But I like these gritty polishes to at least have some sparkle, otherwise they’re just okay in my eyes.
Haven’t the Foggiest is a super silvery silver (that makes sense, right?) that applied really well, and just so happens to be really nice, too. I usually hate metallic-y shades because they’re all around terrible to apply and don’t look that great for the effort. But this one, this one’s good.
Muir Muir on the Wall, who’s the fairest of them all? Well, not this polish (the one below defenitely is) but if nail lacquer had its own beauty pageant, this shade would win runner up. It’s a deep, shimmery, plum color that shifts to gorgeous emeralds and yellows, and it’s F-ing beautiful. A total must have from this collection.
Peace & Love & OPI, you’ve completely stolen my heart. If the photos don’t speak for themselves, then take a second look (seriously -I could stare at the photos all day). I shouldn’t have to say more about this polish (is it that obvious it’s my favourite?) -but I will. It’s insane. And beautiful. And you need it, like, yesterday. I really didn’t think the whole color-shift thing would transfer as nicely onto the nail as it does in the bottle (because it’s cray in the bottle) but IT DOES. Like, I don’t even know what to say about this polish -it’s perfect. And you need it. Plus it applies just as well with no streaky-ness or general annoying-ness that you get with some polish. Gosh, I could seriously just go on forever about this one…
So, what do you think of the more neutral shades from this collection? Which is your favourite, and do you own any? Don’t forget to come back Friday for the last bit of the collection -the reds (they’re pretty fierce).
