And by reds, I mean reds, pinks, and purples… because how do you sum up all those shades in one word? I love a good red polish, and a good pink one… okay, and a good purple one, too. And the last of OPI’s San Francisco collection is all that and more, I swear. Magenta, plum, and a color identical to the Golden Gate Bridge? What’s not to love?
Besides obsessing over the name (I wish my first date was at the Golden Gate) First Date at the Golden Gate is a creamy red, that’s, well, identical to San Fran’s iconic landmark. It’s not suer bright, cherry red, but it’s far from boring. And I just so happen to love it.
It makes me sad that I can hardly tell Lost on Lombard and First Date at the Golden Gate apart. It’s a little darker than FDatGG, but for the same collection, I’m kinda surprised they’re so similar. Nonetheless, it’s still a gorgeous red that makes me want to definitely get lost on Lombard (but not really. I don’t do lost well) while wearing this polish.
I Knead Sour Dough is a bronzy, pinky tan color that shimmers like a million little sparkle bits (Ummm, guys, do I ever really make sense?). It is super pretty and soft, but subtly awesome cause in the sunlight, it just glitters and glitters and glitters…
In the Cable Car Pool Lane is a deep, vampy, perfect for fall plum that I want to wear forever and ever and ever. Besides the fact that purple is my favorite color, this one is just ultra-chic and is the perfect alternative to black nails. It’s fall’s version of a little pop of color.
Magenta? Shimmery? F-ing beautiful? Yes, yes, and yes. I’m obsessed with this one. Embarca -Dare Ya! is a deep magenta shimmer that’s all kinds of perfect. And it’s so fall-y, in a weird way. Like, I can just imagine wearing this with a leather jacket and jeans (Sometimes I love fall -well, more the shopping part. The cold I can do without). I’ll be sporting this one as soon as the leaves start falling… and definitely before then, too.
So there you have it -all 15 shades from OPI’s (awesome) San Francisco collection. Do we have any favorites? Do you guys own any? Let me know!
