Happy Monday, loves! Today’s post is all about an update to my Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy post because it’s literally the most viewed post on blog every. single. day. Since it gets so much love, I decided to bust out my colours and write an update review!
I first got these polishes back in 2014 and honestly haven’t really gravitated towards them since then. Three years later, they’ve held up amazingly well and applied like a fresh bottle, so I’m super impressed with their shelf life. I decided to do a really easy design that I saw here and all I used was the brush from the bottle, which is great for application since it’s one of those thick and flat ones. Love!
I’ve worn this mani for four days now and I’m happy to report zero chips. Like, none. It’s still nice and shiny and lasted through about 10 hours of painting this weekend, which involved lots of extra paint on my hands and nails. I remember being impressed with these colours the first time around, but I’m falling for them all over again.
If you need a refresher or haven’t seen my first post on these polishes, the formula replicates a gel polish (and it’s the closest I’ve ever found to one). There’s a top coat that goes along with these and no base coat is required, which is always nice (though I always apply one, anyway). Unlike gel polishes, there’s no curing time and you can remove it easily with normal polish remover or acetone.
Considering my polish normally chips within 48 hours of wear, I’m super impressed with these. Tomorrow will be day five and at this point, I might just change the colour because I’ll be bored with it more than anything else! So, all in all, really great. I may just go pick up a few more shades…
So that’s my little update post on these since so many of you loved my first post back from 2014. I’m super curious, though: have you tried these out? If so, what do you think? How do these wear on you? Comment down below! x
